Why is there an offence?
Sin
Romans 5:12-17
Adam sinned. God Forgave.
But without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.
The Grace of God is more powerful than the sin of Adam.
But it MUST be received. You cant save yourself
John 1:10-12
God was offended that the religious didn’t recognize Him, but that didn’t stop Him from witnessing to them about their sin and what to do about it.
God went to the Biggest Offenders first. (The ones who thought they were correct)
Gal 5:11
And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
The offence was designed to get your attention.
Romans 4:24-25
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Why Did Jesus go to the Cross? To save you.
