Acts is the template for modern Christian life.
God meant for us to live in the Holy Spirit and experience the gifts and the fruit every day.
As we draw closer to God and away from the world, power and love are our inheritance.
In Acts 4, we see Peter changed from a regular guy with some faith to a bold Son of God that tears down hindering spirits and doctrines of men.
In each instance that “he was filled with the Holy Spirit”, he was battling religious demons and the minds of men.
In both instances, he delivered the Word of God to the religious and was threatened or beaten for his witness.
Better to be beaten and ridiculed than ignored because you kept His truth to yourself.
The word is that Jesus is God. He saves heals and delivers.
How shall they beat us unless we preach?
