3 distinct trips.
God shows us how to still the storms of life.
First time, Jesus is in the boat with you.
Second time, He is watching you from close by, yet he still comes to us
Third Time, Miracle: we are transported to the other side – Acts 6/8
“It is enough that a servant is like his master” – we should be able to do these miracles!
“I no longer call you servants but…”
Now YOU go still the storm!
Keep going through the storms to your next destination.
Things may seem rote, but there are lessons to learn and obstacles to overcome.
“To him to overcomes will I give…whatever you need”
Jonah was a type of Jesus
Both in a boat with “friends”
Both on the sea
Both in the midst of peril
Both fell asleep in the boat.
But only one stilled the storm the right way!
One threw himself in, One spoke the Word.
